God Save the King!
The media has been speculating about this historical event for months, and now the day has finally arrived we'll be able to see for ourselves just how much they've got right!
One thing the UK excels at is all the pomp and pageantry that an event of this magnitude calls for, and I for one will be glued to the TV screen all day so I don't miss any of it!
I will be watching on TV. Nothing going on around here, I've not seen any bunting or flags and certainly no street parties that I know of. I'm surprised really as he was the Prince of Wales.
ReplyDeleteIn town they re-enacted the children's parade that took place for the Queen's Coronation in 1953. It was on the local news on Friday. My street had a party but I missed it as I was already booked on the coach trip to Swanage. I'm surprised there was nothing on where you are, considering his connection with Wales. xx
DeleteCongratulation with your new king!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jozien xx
DeleteIt was a lovely ceremony, wasn't it? I stayed up all night to watch it! :D
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful ceremony, very emotional at times and I loved the music. Well done on staying up to watch it, you must be tired today xx
DeleteI thought it was very good and very memorable. xx
ReplyDeleteMe too, Joy. I loved it. It was a shame about the weather but the rain didn't really dampen people's spirits at all. xx
