Todays the Day!

They're building the frame of the pergola today. The trellis will still need to be added but I have to decide where I want it placed and I can't imagine that sort of structure from a drawing, or any sort of structure come to that! I'll be able to decide once the basic structure is in place and I can actually see it.

Here's the 'before' picture ...

    1. We're forecast for another couple of weeks of sunshine and not a drop of rain in sight. I'm on watering duties, which isn't quite so much fun, but necessary.

Neighbour S and his friend R (the one who did our fencing) are beavering away in the garden. It's hot, so I don't envy them at all. Well it's 20ºC, so I doubt that you'll consider it to be hot xx 😂

  3. It will be good to have another job ticked off. I am looking forward to seeing your pergola. Hubby has now removed our old fence and replaced it with the new fence. There is just one small piece to do but we need a small amount of timber as it is far too small an area to put a panel in. Even the weather played ball this week. Helen S.

    1. Yes it will be good to have it done. I'm looking forward to getting all the wooden planters planted up and getting the climber started.

Glad hubby was able to get your new fencing in place. Good luck in finding the last bit of wood to fill the gap. The weather has been kind to both of us hasn't it? xx

  4. I like to make drawings of new project, but I too will have to try it this way or that to finally decide. I love your brick house. Hardly any here in the Yukon, in Holland i did grow up in a brick house.

    1. I find it difficult to gauge the size, so I always need to see it constructed before I decide on the final details.

I've always lived in red brick houses before. This is the first one with honey coloured bricks. xx
