Wednesday
I had the blood tests yesterday and now have to wait for the results - about five working days. My shopping trip wasn't too successful as I came home without any new clothes but did pick up some yellow stickered pork mince and turkey mince which I don't really need but which will get used eventually.
My plan for today is to get a few more adverts placed and then sort out the next lot of music to take to the printers.
A, J and L will be here tonight for our Girls' Night In. This was originally planned as an evening together, sending out for a takeaway and then settling down to watch a film, but the last couple of times we haven't bothered with the film, choosing to just chat instead. Whatever we do, it'll be a fun night and is my joyful activity for the day.
This is my favourite poem. I won the book in a raffle but am told that it smells very musty (I have no sense of smell) and I don't really want to keep a smelly book in my bookcase. I have the poem in an anthology so I'm sending this book to the charity shop.
I don't think one can turn down YS meat and, as you said, it will come in useful at some point.

I think I could really reduce my food bills if I took more notice if the yellow sticker deals but I usually forget to look. I need to get my act together!
DeleteI've heard that before, about wearing purple when I am old ... the Red Hat Society quotes that & I did not know it was part of a poem. There's a chapter of these red hatted, purple wearing ladies that frequent the same cafe I do where I met my friend. I must go look for that poem. Hope you do have a fun filled evening with your friends.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of Red Hat Societies in the UK but sadly none are close enough for me to join. I already wear purple though!
DeleteThat's one of my favorite poems, too, but I've been wearing purple since I was a teen! It's one of my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteYes, if you buy the YS items and then, plan your meals around what you buy, it can be very economical. That's sort of what I do - we don't have YS items, here, but we have weekly specials and, occasionally, reduced for a quick sale items. I buy what's on special and plan my meals around them.
The yellow sticker bargains are often fresh produce near the sell by date but still okay to use/freeze. I need to get organised with this as it saved me a lot of money
