242/365: enjoying the view from the living room

As the day progressed yesterday I started to feel better and today have woken feeling more like my normal self, which is just as well as I have a busyish day to look forward to.

There's nothing in the diary for this morning so I'll take the opportunity to finish off the last load of washing, fold and put yesterday's washing away, and there's always the possibility that I'll summon up enough enthusiasm to make a start on the cleaning ... unlikely, but miracles do happen! After lunch it's personal training followed by a quick drive back home to be ready for G who will be turning up to cut my hair and make me look human again. Then, and I'm really looking forward to this, I'm going round to J's home this evening for a takeaway and an evening spent binge watching the 'Jack Reacher' series on Prime TV. We both enjoy the books and J, who has seen the series before, has assured me that this series sticks closely to the storyline with a believable actor in the lead role, unlike the Tom Cruise film!

Yesterday I spent an hour or so looking for alternatives to replace the choir and something photography related as regular activities, but no decisions have been made yet. I've drawn up a short list ... because you have to have a list don't you? ... of two choirs and two photography groups, so the next step is to contact the organisers and arrange to go to each one to test the waters. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least one of them works out.

    1. Grin ☺️ ... attempting to be organised and the planning is what keeps me happy!

Thanks, I'm just enjoying a coffee while I wait for Misses C and H to arrive, with their Mum, to collect their uniforms. I'm hoping Miss C will show me the progress she's made on her family tree. xx

    1. I have my list and of course I have added lots of extra tasks just so I have plenty to tick off and feel like I'm making progress 😂

I've just come back from my training session and really enjoyed it ...some new exercises today!

  4. I have seen the Jack Reacher and read some of the books and I must say I enjoyed both, but not the film with Tom Cruise. But then I'm not that fussy on Tom Cruise, perhaps that's why. I love a good list, the satisfaction of crossing things off that are done is half the pleasure. Glad you are feeling better. Helen S.

    1. I don't like Tom Cruise much either but he was definitely the wrong actor to play Jack Reacher!

I can see you understand lists and the satisfaction that comes with ticking things off ....even when you've added extra things that you've already done just so you can tick them off! 😂

    1. Thanks Eileen. I've had a good time so far and am now looking forward to spending this evening with J.

It's not proving to be that easy ... my preferred choir and photo group both meet on the same day, so choices are proving to be frustrating!

  6. I hope that you enjoy the Jack Reacher series. Sometimes it's better if Hollywood isn't involved.

    1. I'm loving it. It's sticking very close to the book and the actor is believable in the lead role.
