Weekly Reflections

summer snowflakes

Reasons to be cheerful ...

  • phoning, texting and emailing with family and friends
  • enjoying an afternoon with the canasta group ... lots of laughter!
  • taking part in an online quiz and finishing in joint second place ... all the questions were about Canada and I had no idea that I knew so many facts about the country!
  • hearing that Amy, my personal trainer, had given birth to her first child ... a healthy little boy
  • enjoying my piano lesson
  • celebrating three birthdays with the book group ladies
  • enjoying my first picnic of the year on Good Friday ... eaten in the car because it wasn't warm enough to sit outside, but this is England and we a used to things like that!
  • loving all the signs of spring, especially the blossom on the trees
  • spending Easter Saturday with friends: sharing breakfast with L&P who broke their journey to London to visit; an afternoon with H, sharing lunch, and making tentative plans for some day trips later in the year; an evening with E sharing an Indian takeaway and watching 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' on TV
  • making some progress on organising the boxes I moved upstairs but especially enjoying being in the music room again now that it is cleared of clutter
  • adding more dates to my diary

I am grateful ...
  • for prescription medication that's effective in stopping an impending migraine in its tracks!
  • for thoughtful friends
  • for a few sunny days with just the occasional rain shower

Another wonderful week with many reasons to be cheerful and grateful. Well done on the quiz! I am happy that you've had lots of social time with friends and the first picnic of the year, even if it took place inside the car! Hope the week ahead will be equally wonderful. :)
    Happy Easter!
