Weekly Reflections

261/365:  a late flowering gladiolus

Reasons to be cheerful ...

  • phoning, texting and emailing with family and friends
  • enjoying a visit from H
  • joining a local U3A group, making arrangements to try out the book group first, and realising the U3A will provide the opportunity to reconnect with an old friend (who runs one of the other groups)
  • sorting out my gas meter and knowing that the supplier is getting the correct information
  • deciding on my Twelve Days of Christmas gifts
  • agreeing the design for the pergola with S, and discussing ideas for next year's garden with M
  • adding more dates to the diary
  • hearing that L is going to be a Grandma!

I am grateful ...
  • for cuddle blankets and warmer quilts now the evening and nights are getter cooler
  • for friends who make me laugh
  • for numerous opportunities to expand my social life

Lifestyle changes
  • daily walk: Achieved 3 days out of 7
  • weekly personal training session: I was poorly so cancelled this week's session
  • twice a week - 2 x 10 reps of each of three exercises: Achieved

  1. I'm glad you are feeling better now and have lots of new things to look forward to. It's certainly feeling chillier but lovely to be able to snuggle undercover.

    1. Thanks Eileen. Yes, there's lots of new things to look forward to. I know they won't all work out but hopefully some will be a good match for me.

It's very chilly here today, so I've spend most of the day snuggled under a blanket ... too early to put the heating on!

  2. Glad you're feeling better. I like these reflective lists. It does make you appreciate things!

I had trouble finding your blog - it's gone from my list. I had to click on a comment you'd made and go from there. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

    1. Thanks Sharon. I find these lists help me to stay positive.

The blogging issue is quite widespread so thanks for taking the trouble to find an alternative route. Last time this happened Blogger corrected the problem very quickly so hopefully they will do the same this time.
