Saturday

In the garden ...

I'm not sure what to do with myself today. I feel restless, though can't quite work out why or what I can to do to recover some focus and calm. There is housework to do, the photography equipment to be catalogued, and garden tasks I need to attend to, but I can't summon up the enthusiasm for any of it although the garden watering will get done this evening. I have the feeling it is going to be one of those days!

I have to wait in for a delivery this morning and once that's here I think the best thing to do is to pack a picnic, grab my camera and go out for the afternoon. Let's see what happens!

  1. Sounds a good idea to take yourself out and get some fresh air and a change of scenery, it does it for me. I think the change in the weather has a lot to do with how we feel. I got soaked to the skin yesterday while out walking the pup but the sun is shining and looks to be a nice day. Enjoy yourself whatever you do. Your flowers and photos are beautiful.

    1. The delivery turned up first thing so I've been out for a long drive and it's really cheered me up.

Getting soaked is not much fun. Does Tilly mind getting wet or doesn't it bother her? We have a dry overcast day but it's not raining, so I'm happy. I hope the weather is kind to you this weekend.

      Thanks re the photos.

    2. The rain didn't seem to bother Tilly. It was fine when we set off so we were unprepared for the sudden downpour. She did seem to enjoy being dried off at home with a big soft towel though :)

    1. My parcel arrived early so I went out this morning, just for a long drive in the end, and I feel much better now. I arrived home in time to see my sister who brought round some books and pots for me, and I enjoyed my picnic in the garden.

  4. It's a good idea to go out when you don't feel well. I'm sure it'll give the energy you need to do anything you want.

Your photos are gorgeous, it must be wonderful to sit in your garden and just relax...
    Enjoy the Saturday!! :)

    1. Getting out has definitely worked and I feel much better now. I've been out in the garden since I got home and have made a start on the deadheading ... a never ending task with all those flowers!

Thanks re the photos and yes, I love being out in the garden. Today is perfect as it's overcast so no bright sunshine to bring on a migraine! I hope you have a lovely Saturday too. Are you doing anything special today?

    1. I don't get like it too often, thank goodness, as I find it harder to settle myself now I live alone and don't have anyone to distract me. I was fine by the afternoon - I went for a long drive to give the car a run out and to see some changes of scene, and that worked. When I got home I was able to get on with the garden tasks and don't feel like I'm too behind with household things. xx
