A Leisurely Day

they're taking their time opening!

The garden is definitely waking up and little splashes of colour from the bulbs and foliage are brightening up the place. I heard from M and she will be here on Thursday morning to make a start. There's a fair bit of tidying to do and this is also the time that both clematis need to be cut back.

I need to pop and and get some cash and some nibbles for the coach tomorrow and while I'm out I will return the library books. That's about it for today though, so it's another leisurely day at home just pottering and doing whatever takes my fancy.

  1. It's lovely to see some colour emerging although the recent snow must be very confusing for plants and wildlife. I'm pleased M will be making a start in the garden for you. Have a relaxing day and enjoy your trip to London xx

    1. I was glad to hear back from M but it looks like I'll have to do a bit more tweaking to be able to fit her in this year. I'll wait until I see her on Thursday before I start rearranging things though. The colour appearing in the garden is lovely to see and I agree that plants and wildlife must be confused by the recent snow.

Thanks re my London trip xx

    1. Are yours the same colour. I keep thinking I have yellow ones as well but I don't ... I'll have to rectify that for next year.

Thanks Joy, I'm getting excited now! xx

  3. Maybe the flowers were slow to open because they knew it might snow! Maybe they'll open now. That's good that M will be there next week to start on the garden tasks. My M got rained out! :D
Have a lovely day and stock up on those nibbles! :)

    1. I think they're confused by our weather! The daffodils are all up but haven't opened at all yet. I think they're waiting to see what happens!

I'm glad M is able to start back so soon. She's given me a new timeslot but don't know yet if that's a permanent change or just to fit me in quickly. It still seems strange to hear you saying the M was rained out!

Nibbles have been bought ready for tomorrow xx

    1. No we don't share the same M. Bless lives in the USA and I live in the UK. Both Ms are gardeners though. xx
