Sunday

Assuming the forecast is correct it won't rain today so I am hoping to get out for a walk. I don't care how cold it is but I want to restart my daily exercise and it's the rain which makes it miserable. I'm not doing too much to start with and I'll increase time and effort slowly but I started yesterday and want it to continue. Today will be a 15 minute walk, so most likely over to the marina and back again.

That's all I have planned for today so the rest of my time will be spent pottering around, doing whatever I fancy. I'll watch Dancing on Ice and Vera tonight and will probably spend the time before they start flitting between reading, playing the flute or piano or maybe both of them, and tidying up some info on the family tree.

Month 2 on the Diversify Your Reading Challenge is 'romance'. This isn't a genre I'd normally choose but I found a copy of The Liar by Nora Roberts which my sister passed on to me some time ago. This is the book I'll start today, having finished the Lee Child book yesterday. If I can't get in to it I'll have to borrow something suitable from the library so if anyone has any suggestions of a good romance novel it will be very much appreciated please.

I can't believe it's February already. Somehow I blinked and January is over and done with ... how did that happen? I have a long list of things to achieve in February all of which, if achieved, will make a huge difference to everyday life. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a successful month! Today's date will please Joy as it's a palindrome ... 02/02/2020!

  1. Good, isn't it. I like balance and order! You're right - I find it satisfying!
    Emjoy your walk.

    1. It was too windy so I didn't stay out for long but I did my planned 15 minutes so am happy.

  2. Walking in the rain and cold puts a stop to my best-laid walking plans every year. I've committed to indoor exercise (yoga, light weights...). I admire your willingness to get out there!

I'm trying to find books free online for this challenge, and -if you read online- romance was pretty easy to find that way. I'm not a romance fan, but challenges stretch my boundaries :)

The 02/02/2020 palindrome is cool. Thanks for pointing it out :)

    1. I've been looking on YouTube for exercise ideas for the cold and wet days. I'm very much a fair weather exerciser so need something to do indoors on all the less than perfect days!

I'll probably just stick to the one I've started. It's not my favourite genre and this one is readable and, a bonus, I am speeding through it!

    2. It has been hard for me to keep track of exercise videos to use. Odd, I know, but there are so _many_ of them lol I tend to watch the videos and then try to include exercises I need in a rotation with others I'm already doing. I'm finding weights fun. I do like those yoga "challenges" where there'll be a one-a-day series through the month. I've been seeing them from several sources this year.

Some of these genres are going to be harder to find online than others.

    3. At the moment I'm concentrating on knee exercises, some gentle walking and also starting on some flexibility exercises.

  4. Well, now, I thought I commented on this post when I read it, earlier this morning! But, I guess I didn't! LOL. I'm glad you were able to go for your walk and the romance novel you are reading is readable. I hope you've had an enjoyable Sunday and Monday will be another good day. :)
