It's personal training to start the day which I'm actually looking forward to. I still can't quite believe that I'm saying that but it happens to be true. I've had a pretty relaxing week and, having missed last week's session, I have a feeling that today's session will feel more challenging than usual!

That's the only thing in the diary for today. We're forecast rain throughout the day so I don't want to go out anywhere, which means it's the ideal time to make a start on my next mini project ... the understairs cupboard. This is the only space in the house that I've never organised properly and it's become a bit of a dumping ground so I'll start by taking everything out to allow me to see the empty space and then decide how I can make the most of it. It will be fun!

  1. I feel exactly the same about my personal training. I enjoy it so much!

Good luck with the cupboard. I'm dreading doing mine too but it really needs doing. xx

    1. I'm thinking about adding another session in after Christmas, so I'll have 2 x 30 minutes every week, but it does depend on how Amy is feeling.

I'm doing okay with the cupboard, just failed miserably with the Christmas decs but think I have the cleaning equipment sorted out. xx

  2. Enjoy your personal training session, today! Organizing the understairs cupboard will be fun! I hope you'll share some pictures, too! Our forecast also calls for rain on Monday (and Tuesday and Wednesday!) I, too, plan to stay home and wait for the gas company tech to check the furnace in the afternoon. :)

    1. Thanks Bless, I did enjoy it. I've forgotten to take any photos of the 'before' cupboard but will try to remember to photograph the end result.

We've had heavy rain so far this week but it looks like we may have a sunny day tomorrow, fingers crossed. I hope you did have the rain you've been promised ... you need it so much more than we do! xx

  3. I wonder what forgotten treasures you will find under the stairs!

    1. Sadly I didn't find any forgotten treasures I want to keep, just some boxes of stuff earmarked for the charity shop that I had forgotten about!

  4. I love a good sort out, I have to sort a few boxes in our attic, full of dressmaking stuff, which I have not touched for years.

    1. There's something therapeutic about a good sort out isn't there? Good luck with sorting all your dressmaking stuff when you do get round to it.

  5. Maybe after exercise is the best time to tackle the sort out of the under stairs cupboard - you'll be energized.

    1. It proved to be the best time for me! Once I can get started, I'm usually okay at keeping at it until it is finished.

  6. Hope your organisation goes well. We all seem to have spaces like that, don't we?

    1. Thanks Sharon. This is my last space like that in the house. There's still some sorting in the garage but that's for a project next summer.

  7. There is something very liberating about emptying a space. My problem comes with sorting out the stuff and finding homes for it. I hope you have a great time with the trainer.

    1. Yes, I agree with you. I have the same problem, mainly knowing what to do with the extra coats, umbrellas, scarfs, etc. that I don't want to get rid of but also don't really have room for so many of each item in the cupboard. Most of the other stuff belongs in this cupboard so I am looking for ways of storing it to make it easily accessible.
