Monthly Photo Challenge: Autumn Colours

The theme for October was 'autumn colours'. Considering I chose the theme, I really didn't do too well this time and didn't take enough photos to be selective, so here are my attempts.

305/365: cotoneaster

The challenge is to take photos on the set theme; the photos must be taken during the month (no archive photos), a minimum of five photos but there's no upper limit, and there will be a new theme every month. The theme for November is 'food'. I'll post a linky at the end of the month. Have fun!

Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the October challenge. Here's the linky ... please link to your challenge post, not just to your blog.

    1. Thanks Mary-Lou. Yes it's a hydrangea - the table centrepiece the last time I went out for a meal with J.

  7. That last photo is pretty interesting with two such distinct trees side by side - it reminds me of fire! The pasta is also v clever but the one I really love is of the rows of cans in Pret! Just SO perfect for the theme! I definitely wouldn't have noticed them.

I hope you are feeling better and more with-it than yesterday. With a bit of luck it was just tiredness after a busy few days. I have definitely noticed how out of practice I am at doing things that once were commonplace - and they wear me out more too. (Of course, I am 2 1/2 years older now too, but I'm sure that's just me!)

    1. I was looking at the cans for ages, trying to decide which I fancied and it wasn't until I sat down that I noticed the colours which also explains why it's not in focus ... too far for my phone to handle properly.

Thanks. I don't feel 100% but at the same time I don't think I'm ill. If anything it's a reaction to the stress surrounding the hospital appointment and I think a couple more days should see me back to normal. London was more tiring than I remembered. I always forget just how much walking there is at all the underground stations and I found it all just that bit harder than I used to. Like you, I'm out of practice but I'm not admitting to being 2½ years older!

  8. Lovely photos! I am going to miss the colours of October. Most of the leaves have been falling from the trees. The last few days we have lost so many. I am not looking forward to everything being so grey and dull.

    1. Thanks Sharon. Quite a few of the trees are starting to look bare. It feels like it's going to be a long winter and I'm not looking forward to it.
