Piano, Recycling and Sorting

decisions, decisions ... what shall I read next?

Yesterday just happened. I didn't do anything and so have nothing to write about! But I do feel like I'm back to normal, so the rest did me good.

I have my piano lesson at 1 o'clock and this week am feeling better prepared. I haven't tackled everything he suggested but the things I have practiced I feel I have done well and have definitely absorbed the specific learning points from each exercise. We talked last week about doing duets, at my request, so today I'm taking one of the books I received when I bought my piano which is full of duets and starts with very simple ones. Joe suggested that these simple ones will be ideal for sight reading so we'll see how that goes today; I've always been good at sight reading on my other instruments but the piano is a very different beastie ... I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually though!

When I get back I'm hoping to take the bags of recycling I stored in the garage to the recycling yard to clear some more space ... the heap is gradually going down! Then I can make a start on sorting in the kitchen as the glass storage jars arrived yesterday ... even if I only get them washed it'll be a start!

    1. Thanks Eileen. The lesson was good fun and I managed to sight read the first duet with no real problems ... it was really simple though and I don't think the others will be as easy! Yes, I like these jars. They're very similar to the ones I chose before but are much better quality. Hope you have a good day too xx

  2. I agree re sight reading - more than one note at a time makes it more complicated, for sure.
It's good that the jars have arrived - photos, please. :-)
    Have a great day
    xx
