Saturday

hyacinth, going over now but I wanted a photo to remind me of the colour!

The piano practice is going well. I suppose it's just more enjoyable when practicing the genre of music I actually want to play, which explains why I did four 30 minute sessions yesterday. I won't always be able to devote that much time in a day but I should be able to do about the same today.

If the forecast is correct it will be raining this morning but with some sunshine after lunch so if that right I'll go out somewhere this afternoon ... I still need three photos to complete the WPSH and could do with finding at least a couple more for things beginning with M.

And that's my day! I have a Tesco delivery arriving this evening so a good part of tomorrow is set aside for some batch cooking and, assuming I get everything I've ordered, I'll be able to make a start on the new style breakfasts but more about that next week.

  2. When our eldest was learning the flute, we got her music books with songs she knew and loved, it helped her.

  3. That's what it is all about really. It's not just getting qualifications to enable you to take harder qualifications, etc. It's about enjoyment and personal pleasure. Good for you. xx

    1. Choosing what I'd like to play is one of the advantages of changing teacher as I don't think Joe would have been happy straying away from classical. I'm happy though, and that's the most important thing! xx

  4. What a glorius colour you hyacinth is. I have just been out to the back garden and have spotted tulips coming up, however it is some years since I planted tulips and they have never appeared before, still I'll take every bit of colour I can. With you saying about enjoying playing the music you like, reminds me of my Mum, she used to often go into the parlour and play Gilbert & Sullivan and any of the other operettas she and my Dad enjoyed. 1. It's beautiful isn't it. There are three of them but I don't remember ever planting hyacinths, though I must have done. Bonus tulips ... how wonderful and a huge "yes" to all the colour you can get!

That's a lovely memory of your parents. Thanks for sharing it. xx

I'm afraid I haven't made a lot of progress on the WPSH or the monthly challenge, this time around and time is running out on me!

    1. It's beautiful, isn't it?

I'm enjoying the piano practice and am pleased that I'll be building a repertoire of pieces I like to play just for fun.

I haven't made a lot of progress on the WPSH or monthly challenge either so you're not the only one. I may have to extend the WPSH just to get it finished! xx
