Monthly Photo Challenge: Circles
The theme for February was 'circle(s)'. Again I struggled to get started on this but once I started looking properly I found loads ... apologies for the long post!
Around town ....
bicycle wheels |
one of the door handles at the bank |
a Starbucks sign |
circles on the lamp support outside Clarks' shoe shop |
a lottery display inside WH Smith |
Audi logo |
plenty of circles in the Bike Shop window |
(a very mucky) BMW logo |
cable wound into a circle |
drain inspection chamber cover |
a house number plaque |
Neighbourhood Watch sign |
speed limit sign |
mini roundabout sign |
road markings for a mini roundabout |
In the café ...
At home ...
a plate complete with crumbs from a cheese scone and a butter dish |
J's toasted teacakes! |
Café logo and a circular table |
a clock mounted on a wall decorated with a circular design |
At home ...
the round window in the downstairs cloakroom |
the lampshade in the music room |
the open holes and silver ring keys on my clarinet |
the circular holes and marbles from a solitaire game |
a noughts and crosses game |
elastic bands (slightly squished circles!) |
spare curtain rings |
The Dell logo on my laptop |
round buttons on the TV remote |
the circle of fifths - part of my piano homework this week |
one of the pictures in my dining room |
the back of my red lamp |
a set of measuring cups |
the 'bubbles' screen saver on my laptop |
Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the February challenge. Here's the linky .... please link to your challenge post, not just to your blog.
What was the circle of fifths homework? It sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteSo many circles!
xx
Initially it's just to refresh my memory on all the key signatures and root position chords. Playing only treble (single) line instruments I'm really rusty on the theory of chords so the circle of fifths is just part of that familiarisation.
DeleteCircles turned out to be an easy subject! xx
You did well discovering all those circles. I know it sounds daft but I'd love to have a round window in my home :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen. Not daft at all ... I'd always wanted a round window as well so was delighted when I saw that this house had one 😊
DeleteOh, I love all your circle photos! The drain cover, with a heart in the middle, is my favorite! I need to finish up my post and then, I'll link it. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bless. That's the British Kitemark (denoting a product's service and quality standard) and I've never thought of it as anything else, but you're right and it does look like a heart. Looking forward to seeing your photos.
DeleteWe have quite a lot of overlap this month! Yours are, of course, lovely. Will try and post mine tomorrow. X
ReplyDeleteThanks Lady E. Look forward to seeing yours x
DeleteForgot to say that my faves are the lampshade and the Clarks' sign. But specially the lampshade!
DeleteThank you x
DeleteGreat pics, well done x x
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy x
DeleteThank you so much for the challenge! It has been a real help for me. I loved looking through your pics just now. They are quite an inspiration to look at the world differently. I love the picture of your picture in the dining room. It looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lyssa. That's the thing I like about scavenger hunts like this, because it does make you look at the world more carefully.
DeleteThat's one of my favourite pictures.
Such a lovely lot of circles! I must admit I really like the tea cake one just because I'd love to have one lol
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. I had a blueberry muffin but really wished I'd had the teacake when I saw it ... it was huge!
DeleteI do like Taylor's View sign & oh those toasted tea cakes make me hungry, but the favourite is the painting in your dining room.
ReplyDeleteThe artist is Sam Toft and I 'think' mine is called A Walk on the Beach.
