Reasons to be cheerful ...

  2. A good week with plenty of reasons to be cheerful and grateful. :) Have I mentioned that I really enjoy reading these weekly posts?
I read about the Queen's tea with Paddington Bear and saw some pictures, but, the video posted on the news website was not available for viewing in my location. :(

    2. Thank you so much for the link! I was able to watch it! I did find a video on YouTube, late last night, but, it didn't show the entire video. :)

    3. Glad you enjoyed it. I cried at the end when Paddington thanked the Queen!

  3. I enjoyed the concert too. Wasn't bothered about watching it at first, but turned it on halfway through and was persuaded to watch from the start once it had finished. Sadly the Paddington surprise was blown as I'd already seen the report online by then, but I still thought it was cool. And cute! Disappointed the Queen wasn't well enough to take a more prominent role generally, specially for the church service. I have enjoyed all the celebrations so far.

    1. I wasn't too bothered about watching the concert but really enjoyed it in the end and the Paddington sketch was cute. I'm watching the Jubilee Pageant today.

I've enjoyed all the Jubilee celebrations but like you, wish that the Queen had been well enough to attend more of the events. It's a clear indication of how she was feeling that she couldn't attend the church service as I think that would have been the most important part of the weekend for her.

    2. Yes, I'm a wee bit worried about the extent of her ill health. I never dreamed that she'd miss the service of all things and just hope there isn't more to it. 🤔

    3. Her health is a worry and I also don't think Prince Charles is particularly well either.

  5. Lovely lists. I too love comfy blankets to snuggle up with. I must admit they are one of my favourite things. My daughter got me a huge fluffy one I love it when the evenings are chilly. I actually miss it during the summer.

  6. I have been catching a lot of the jubilee celebration through my Instagram feed, but haven't watched any of the TV coverage. It very impressive - as is The Queen. I hope you get those intolerables tackled. Life is too short for long term aggravations.

I too am grateful for online shopping. I can do my Target shopping for household supplies online and then just pick the order up. I did run into the store to the service desk this time instead of getting it brought to my car, because I didn't spot that they had moved the drive-up parking spaces to the other side of the front entrance. I thought they may have discontinued the service. It is not that I am concerned about catching Covid I just like the fact that it is so convenient without costing more, and it save on impulse buying.

    1. Yes, I'm working my way steadily through my list of things I need to address. Some will take longer because of the cost so I'm starting on the simpler, cheaper and easier ones.

Online shopping has definitely kept my costs down. It's a bit of an eye-opener just how much I impulse buy when I shop I the store.
