This Week ...
... It'll be another week at home waiting in for various deliveries and visits to view, and hopefully buy, some of the items I've advertised.
Entertainment & Socialising:
Assuming L and J have received negative test results I'm hoping to see them at some stage during the week. This will be weather dependent but the forecast is for fine days so I'm hoping we can meet up in my garden.
The Goldster online choir starts on Saturday so I will try that out. On paper it's exactly what I want, i.e. an SATB choir, but I have no idea how this will work online. It's scheduled for a midday start, which isn't ideal but I have no plans to go out so can arrange my day around it.
Online Classes & Talks:
- Monday: Style Coach
- Wednesday: Nutrition Club, Style Coach
- Thursday: Bollywood Dancing, Indian Cooking
- Friday: Nutrition Focus
- Saturday: Choir
Daily: a 30 minute walk, 30 minutes of Tai Chi, and 20 minutes of knee strengthening exercises.
Home and Garden:
Home: My August decluttering challenge ends tomorrow. I'm really pleased with how many things I have found to dispose of so I will continue throughout September but won't log it daily on my blog. I have more adverts to place this week and am hopeful that some of the items already advertised will sell. Because of the lockdowns and associated financial difficulties some people are facing, I wasn't sure whether this was a good time to be selling but there has been enough interest so I will keep going.
Garden: M will be here on Friday to work her magic. I need to discuss the replacement of the fence with her as it's going to impact on some of the existing plants and we also need to decide what to do about the ones I've just bought that are waiting to be planted. In an ideal world I wouldn't have ordered them until after the fence had been sorted but I'd actually placed all the orders before my neighbour spoke to me about the fence. It looks fine from my side but that's only because he's been shoring it up on their side!
End of Lockdown Adventures: I'm not planning anything for this week as I need to stay in most days, but will fit in a jolly or two if I can.
and finally, Hobbies:
Reading: K loaned me a pile of magazines ages ago and has asked for them back so I need to get on and read them before I see her next week.
Italian: 15 - 20 minutes daily practice
Piano: 30 minutes daily practice. Lessons start in 9 days 😃
You have a nice week ahead with interesting online classes and activities, I have to be back at work on Wednesday. I feel full of energy now, I hope it will last...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!!
Sorry to hear you have to go back to work. Did you enjoy your break and I hope your energy lasts!
DeleteLooks like your diary is filling up with online classes and activities! I know you've said they are mostly 30 mins to 1 hr. long, and you have the whole rest of the day available for other things, but, they give you something to look forward to, don't they? Well done on the decluttering and thank you for challenging me! I will continue in September, as well, but, will probably continue to post on the blog about it as that keeps me accountable! I hope you have some pleasant weather and get to meet up with your friends in your lovely garden. :) Have a lovely day, Eileen.
ReplyDeleteAt moment the online classes are filling a need for opportunities to learn. I did consider doing an A level but at the moment the variety of classes suits me better and fit in nicely in my days.
DeleteI enjoyed the decluttering challenge and am glad that you did too. Good luck for September.
You have plenty to look forward to this week. I think it's not a bad time to sell as people are spending more time online and some haven't been spending much money over the past eighteen months, I know I haven't. Good idea to keep on with the decluttering challenge. I hope it doesn't take too long to get the fence replaced.
ReplyDeleteMost of the items being sold online are specialist engineering or collectables but there seems to be plenty of interest. I think you are probably right in that more people are online and the ones who'd be interested in these sort of items still seem to be prepared to buy now.
DeleteI'm still waiting to hear how much the fence will cost.
Sounds like a busy time ahead.Barbara
ReplyDeleteI've given myself until the end of November/beginning of December to complete the decluttering so am busy getting adverts etc. placed.
DeleteYes let's hope that L & J have negative COVID tests. Sounds like a busy with week with a blend of fun & should do. With the extreme humidity we have had for the last 2 weeks, it has kept us indoors, so a lot more house keeping was done (lol). Excited to hear what this week's Style Coach says. I hope the new choir group meets your needs. I have been doing that daily mirror check in - very revealing about my wardrobe choices! I think it is going to spun on more closet decluttering when the sessions are done!
ReplyDeleteThey both have negative results but we won't be meeting in person as one has been on holiday and the other has been to parties so we are being cautious about when to meet up.
DeleteI'm keeping my fingers crossed about the choir and will include the Wednesday style info in tomorrow's post.
