Advent Day 17/ Weekly Reflections

Reasons to be cheerful ...
  • phoning, texting and emailing with family and friends
  • receiving another tax refund
  • beginning to regain my confidence after numerous falls, thanks to using crutches
  • adding more dates to my diary, including ...
  • ... booking tickets to see 'Wicked' in Bristol
  • gaining two new members for my Something Snappy photography group
  • playing some games of canasta online and actually winning a few ... I usually lose!
  • being ready for Christmas, just one final quick trip for the fresh fruit and vegetables, but I can avoid the craziness of the shops in the week before the big day
  • getting the central heating sorted, and best of all ...
  • ... getting the external tap fixed, which will making watering the back garden so much easier next year
  • enjoying hearing all the Christmas music and managing to play some carols on the piano

I am grateful ...
  • for the kindness shown to me this week by complete strangers
  • for all the seasons greetings received from friends and family, and for that extra bit of effort a lot of people seem to be making this year
  • for prescription meds to help control the migraines ... things aren't going as well as I'd like but without the medication it would be so much worse

  2. Lovely reasons to be cheerful. It's good you found a way of getting around using the crutches with less fear of falling. It's a lovely time of the year and it's so nice hearing Christmas music and carols. Good to know you are all prepared with just the fresh food left to buy xx
