Your daffodils are doing well, I was sad to see the ones that line the path in our big park had all died off. It's good to feel that life after the pandemic is slowly returning to normal. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteMost of the second pot of daffs are still in bud so the late planting has worked well this year. It is always a bit sad when the spring flowers start to die off, especially the daffs - they're my favourites!
DeleteI'm still being cautious and will continue to wear a mask when necessary, but have decided that it's time to start doing all the things I want to do. It really is time to reconnect with the people and activities that are important to me.
Hope you have a lovely Sunday. xx
How lovely to have daffs flowering when all the others are fading away. A real blast of colour!

The second pot of daffs are the bulbs Joy (the other one!) gave to me and they were planted much later than all the rest of the bulbs. They're all in bud now and the first two have flowered. As you say, a real blast of colour and it cheers me up every time I see them. xx
DeleteThe daffodils are beautiful! That was a good idea to plant them later to extend the bloom time. Another great week with lots of things to be cheerful and grateful for. I'm excited for you as you take those steps to resume doing the things that are important to you. I took a couple of baby steps, today, myself, and actually shopped in a store in person! :D
ReplyDeleteThe daffodils have given a lot of pleasure this year and I like the way they look in the blue pots.
DeleteSo many people have had the virus now, without major illness, so I have re-evaluated my personal risk. The numbers are still so high that it almost seems inevitable that I'll get it so it may as well be through doing something I enjoy! Well done for those baby steps ... how did you feel afterwards and will you do it again?
I feel OK after taking the baby steps; I might consider doing it again, maybe, as long as our numbers stay within reasonable (they have been fluctuating between 700 and 1,300 for the past couple of weeks with the 7-day average test positivity rate of 1% or lower). My daughter found several online risk calculators - I have a 33% risk of getting hospitalized if I get Covid, something like a 12 or 13% risk of being in the ICU and 7% risk of dying from it. :) In comparison, my daughter's risk of being hospitalized is 3%. So, I will continue to be cautious. My next adventure will be to take the car in for a service...still need to schedule it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a big difference in risk between the two of you. I hope the numbers stay low so that you are able to go out again if you wish to do that. I found that the anxiety levels are reducing the more I do things but I am still evaluating everything I choose to do outside of the house.
