98/365:G is for ... the Green M&M
So far this year my decluttering efforts have been focused on the things I want to get rid of. All very necessary as there is so much that needs to go, but this month I'm having a bit of a change and will be looking at the special items I want to keep.

Julie gave this to us one Christmas. It was filled with M&Ms, and of course, her four daughters helped us eat them - you have to pull the arm holding the ball down and the sweet is dispensed into the mitt. It was then filled with smarties (this is the same afternoon!), and about ten minutes later (!) with mints, and it's held mints ever since.
I don't use it very often now but it holds memories for those girls and also for some of the younger ones in my family - apparently it was a big thing to be allowed to pull the arm to get a sweet. It's time to start using it again with the next generation, now that they are old enough to use it without breaking it!
This series of posts where you talk about what you're keeping and why I've found very touching Eileen.

It is cute; very colorful! I think I could not get something like that, I could see myself dispensing treats on a regular basis :)
