Weekly Reflections

Reasons to be cheerful ...

  • phoning, texting and emailing with family and friends
  • celebrating J's birthday with a lovely meal
  • receiving two videos of Little Man 'playing' his guitar and singing .... Baa Baa Black Sheep was recognisable and the other one may have been London Bridge is Falling Down but that's guess work when the only recognisable word was 'down'! I'd still give him 10 out of 10 though.
  • ordering the new units for the dining room and getting a very speedy delivery date ... the order  will be delivered between 11:30 and 15:30 today
  • getting the dining room emptied in good time so I won't have to worry about it this week, and
  • feeling relieved that I may have sold the table and chairs ... someone is coming to see them this morning
  • spending a pleasant afternoon with A and playing a couple of games of Scrabble
  • getting my hair cut
  • enjoying another PT session with Amy and piano lesson with C

I am grateful ...
  • for the opportunities to develop new friendships
  • for electric fans ... couldn't have coped without mine this week!
  • for working appliances

Lifestyle changes
  • daily walk: Achieved
  • weekly personal training session: Achieved
  • twice a week - 2 x 10 reps of each of three exercises: Achieved

  1. All brilliant reasons to feel happy and positive. I'm glad the furniture is attracting interest and that the new stuff was available so very quickly. It's lovely when that happens, isn't it?

    1. Thanks Joy. A man is coming to see the table and chairs in about an hour and if he doesn't take them I have someone else in reserve. Hopefully between the two of them, the table at least will be sold . It's great to have such a speedy response 😊 xx

    1. I do feel happy, thanks Eileen. I have someone in reserve to buy the table and chairs if the first man decides he's not interested.

I've opened the patio doors (no sun on the back of the house until midday) so there's a lovely cooling breeze. Not sure how long that will last though!

  3. What a wonderful week! The videos of Little Man playing his guitar and singing sounds adorable! :D
It's amazing how quickly things move when the time is right and all the stars and planets are aligned, isn't it? I hope your table and chairs sell!

    1. Thanks Bless. The videos will be treasured, he is such a cutie.

The table and chairs have sold so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone will be interested in the dresser now. The IKEA lorry is 9 miles miles away according to their tracker so should be here soon. 😀
